Financial Resources Self-Evaluation Tool

Developed by NACS and based on the CAS Campus Store Standards, this self-assessment tool provides a structured opportunity to identify strengths, uncover areas for improvement, and better understand how financial resource standards apply within your store. The result is more than a score. It’s a roadmap for strengthening your operation and supporting continuous improvement.  Upon completion, you’ll receive a detailed report that includes a quantitative ratings summary to benchmark your store’s performance; a qualitative summary that highlights strengths, explains compliance exceptions, and identifies opportunities for improvement; and an action plan to help achieve compliance with standards and enhance overall store success.

Important note: Every institution and every campus store is unique. Although each standard reflects an essential level of practice and performance that any college or university can reasonably achieve, each institution has flexibility when deciding how the CAS Standards apply in the context of the campus culture and norms. Institutions that decide to rate some standards as “Not Applicable” will need to take this into account when considering the summary ratings and Percent of ideal Score. Likewise, ratings of “Unable To Evaluate” should also be taken into account.
